Large Vintage Cream Resin Laughing Buddha with Prayer Beads

A substantial vintage Laughing Buddha (Budai) figure, finished in a warm cream tone and with a pleasingly heavy, solid feel.

He is depicted seated with his robes open around his rounded belly, a long strand of prayer beads draped across his chest and held in one hand. The broad smiling expression, elongated earlobes, folds of the robes and individually modelled beads give him plenty of character.

This is one of the larger, heavier figures, rather than a small desk ornament, and he remains in very good vintage condition.
