A striking vintage Chinese lacquerware executive desk set, possibly dating from the 1960s, decorated throughout with traditional mountain, pagoda and landscape scenes.
The set comprises a large oval serving/display tray with four matching desk accessories, all finished in glossy black with finely detailed landscapes picked out in shades of green, gold and red. The coordinated decoration continues across the individual pieces, making this an unusual and very attractive complete set.
The four accessories are in excellent vintage condition. The tray shows some age-related surface wear and has a couple of small chips to the edge, which are clearly shown in the photographs.
