Vintage Chinese Opera Face Baoding Balls in Brocade Box

A decorative pair of vintage Chinese Baoding balls, finished in deep blue with striking traditional opera-style face designs in red, black and cream.

Originally used as hand exercise and relaxation balls, they also make an unusual decorative collectible. The pair comes in its original blue patterned brocade presentation box with red fitted interior.

The balls themselves are in very good vintage condition. The presentation box shows its age, with wear, fraying and some movement to the construction, all clearly visible in the photographs.
