A charming vintage framed collection of four miniature cat prints by British artist Sharon Jervis, each taken from one of the artist’s original watercolours.
The four individual cat portraits are arranged together within a cream mount and distressed pale wooden frame. Each little scene has Jervis’s characteristic soft, detailed style, depicting cats relaxing in colourful domestic and garden surroundings.
The original label remains on the reverse and reads “Taken From An Original Water Colour By Sharon Jervis”, together with the former Sharon Jervis Ltd address at St Wilfrid’s Hall, Kibworth, Leicestershire, and “Made in England.”
These appear to belong to Jervis’s vintage cat work from the 1980s era: her English Country Cats designs are documented as dating from 1983–84.
